Question:

Can someone please help me identify the value of this resistor?

I took a picture of a couple resistors in an amp that I'm repairing. I found all other components that I need but am having trouble figuring out the value of these resistors that I need to replace. Please check out this link to a picture that I took of them. They are quite large, roughly 15mm long without the leads and roughly 6mm diameter at the largest point. As you can see in the pic the stripes are brown, black, silver, gold. Can anyone tell me exactly what I need to find and order?? Thanks!

  1. 10 e -2 or 0.1 ohms 5% if the colors are as you state.

But resistors that low are rare, and are almost always 4 terminal resistors for special applications, like ammeter shunts.

    I think it's br bl yel gold or 10 e4 or 100 k ohms 5%

PS, why would you replace them? they look fine. Resistors char when they burn out.

    .

  2. brown black silver gold

    0.1 Ohms   +/- 5%

  3. Are you sure that its a resistor and not an inductor?

Brn Blk Sliver would be 0.1uH
