Can someone please help me sleep?

school starts tomorrow and I can't even sleep

any tips on how to get to sleep kinda fast??

  1. read a book or magazine in bed, dont think about what youre gonna be doing tomorrow. don tthink about school, youre just excited. just dont think about school


  2. I had the same thing you do! All you gotta do is get the right mindset. Just think of how insignificant this night of sleep is ok? Just lay down in your bed and think that even if you only get an hour of sleep, you will still wake up get dressed and go to school. You WILL have bigger things in your life that will overpass this night.

    Also, turn your clock around so you are not looking at it. Don't panic! It's just sleep. If you don't sleep you will just be a little tired in the morning, that's it!

    Now go to bed!

Put on a soothing CD and let your mind drift.You are just excited and nervous.Many of us have gone through the first day jitters.Thankfully you don't have to pay much attention on the first day.Try to close your eyes and definitely get some rest for tomorrow.Good luck on your first day though.

  4. Speaking as an insomniac... Everything above, and sometimes I've noticed that sleeping with my head where my feet go will change my environment enough that I can let go of my thoughts and sleep.  

  5. turn off the lights and lay down. Count from 1000 backwards as long as you can.

  6. Don't think about it, at all. I know its really hard. Get your mind COMPLETELY off tomorrow. Watch something REALLY boring.  

  7. Take melatonin pills. It's a natural hormone your body produces. It'll make you sleepy. It will start working pretty soon. Definitely worth trying. Just don't get addicted to it, you can with anything. Just use it to help your body get into a habit. Good luck and happy dreaming.  

  8. I take sleeping pills, but when I was trying to re-learn how to sleep naturally, a doctor taught me to lay with my eyes closed taking deep breaths, counting to five as you breathe in and counting to five when you breathe out. Just do this over and over. It clears your mind and relaxes your body.
