1."The history of every country begins in the heart of a man or a woman"

2. "Under the long shaggy ridge, she felt the future stirring". These quotes are from the book O Pioneers. I have to write how do these quotes make me understand Alexandra's decision. Thank You.

Im not too sure about 2 but.. I think no.1.. Meannssss...

well number 1 in my opinion means history starts with one man. You cant make history until something is done/acheived, and it takes somebody acheiving it in order for it to be remembered. for example, what history would we have of the united states, if it was never discovered?

The second quote i can only guess because i have never read the book, so im sorry if it makes no sense lol. My interpretation however is that it had nothing to do with her being able to see the future. I believe it had something to do with her feeling that there WAS a future for her where she was. Again im guessing, but the name of the book seems to me that its about discovery and trying to find your place in the world, maybe the quote means that she felt she had found her place.
