Can someone please identify the smell?

Here is a serious question and I mean this with all due respect, so please do not be offended:

I have noticed for many years that a lot of black people have a very particular smell - like a pungent musky kind of smell varying in degrees.

I really just want to know what that smell is! Thank you.

Don't know what the smell is, but I know what you are talking about.

White people have a smell too. Kinda like wet doggie smell.

Alot of Indian people smell like curry.

I'm not sure if human smell is from the food that is eaten or natural chemicals.

I know what you mean, I once bought a pack n play from a black couple, and it smelled like that too.  Bleach and water got it out in no time.  But I think its just the smell of their oil.  They probably think that our scent smells too!  So it could go both ways!:p

I actually depends on the person..no one smells the same when they sweat. But in general, i think its what people consume and are around.

white people, after sweating smell like grass and zoo.

Really?  I have often asked white people and Mexican people what we smell like.  White folks have always said nothing.  My Mexican friend said it's something, she can't descibe it, but it doesn't stink.  White people smell like something too; I can't describe that either.  So, you say a musky smell?  Musky like cologne musky?  Or musky like animal musky?  Maybe that's what I smell from white people, musk.

Lord, forgive me but I'm just being honest.  And please noone be offended, PLEASE!!!
