Can someone please please help me?

my mom filed a TRO against my stepdad today because he has been verbally and physically abusive to her for years. he does it in front of their 6 yr old son too. when he found out she filed the TRO, being the immature spiteful baby that he is, went and filed one against her. he said the most outrageous things that were all lies. purgery is a federal offense, right? is the court going to believe his lies?

The court wouldn't be able to just take his word for it.   There would have to be an investigation first before legally removing a child.  And for your step-dad to commit purgery he would have to swear to that statement in a court of law and knowingly lie.

the courts will see it for what it is he filed only after she filed

he's trying to get revenge

When they see he has no legitimate proof nothing will come of it...

i would try not to worry about the TRO your step dad took out..i think the courts will of course give him one, but the truth will come out...they will possibly investigate the charges hes made and they will be unfounded..i think the courts are used to ppl perjuring themselves in cases like this...my ex husband used to do the samething to me..
