Ben Bernanke is like the weatherman.  He tells you what the weather is going to be like, and its going to rain.  Putting tape on his mouth won't stop the rain.

The ghost of Napoleon has come over him. Once this guys are in this political power postions, they really believe their own c**p. Bernanke really doesn't have a sparkle of a clue. A dead clown would do a better job.

Old Bennie boy sure doesn’t get much respect.  He is pretty much in a no win situation because of the mess that was put on his doorstep.  I think he has done a pretty good job with what he had to work with.  Do you really want to raise interest rates and kill whatever is left of the consumer, not to mention run the risk of stagflation.  Yes you might bump up the dollar but that seems like a big gamble to take.  On the other hand, do you want him to lower interest rates?  This would continue the decline of the dollar and probably increase oil prices.  Ben has his hands full for sure and I don’t blame him for what is happening to the economy.
