Can someone please save me from myself?

I seem to be stuck in this endless routine of eating Hershey's Kisses and watching 90210 reruns. I'm telling you, it doesn't get any worse than that. And if I have to watch any more of Kelly's annoying little head jerks, listen to her whiny little baby voice, or get caught up in any more of her sanctimonious displays of sluttiness with the big forehead guy, I will shoot myself. So please help.

  1. Oh God. You brought me back to 10 years ago when I used to spend every Saturday night getting a pint of Ben & Jerry's then eating it while watching Dazed & Confused for the 50th time and, inexplicably, washing the kitchen floor.

    Good thing I've grown out of that phase - now I play computer games while watching episodes of Forensic Files.

    p.s. note that in season one, Brian Austin Green's forehead was MUCH smaller - i.e., his hairline was lower. I'm convinced he had some kind of hair reduction surgery.

  4. Don’t we all wish for magic cures! Actually the saviour you seek resides within you. It’s the ‘ego’ – the executive, the adult of personality parts.

    But presently, as you alternate between being self-indulgent, and being critical of your own choices, the ego seems dormant. Chocolates and reruns now control your life – you’re no longer in charge of it.

    Truth is  you’re hooked to the routine. It probably began innocuously, as a means of relaxing from stress. But now it’s grown to be endless – stress with it, stress without it.

    You need to break this cycle to break the dependence. Only you can achieve that by dealing with the underlying reasons for the stress (e.g., loneliness/lack of love), and investing in activities that constructively contribute to wellbeing (e.g., working with groups or joining a gym).

  6. Switch to eating gummi bears and watching Tom & Jerry cartoons.  I hope that helps.
