Can someone please share with me the best way that they found to exercise every day and eat right.?

I find it very hard to stay on a healthy schedule, and exercise to get back in shape.

Any suggestions on how to motivate myself?

  1. Make exercise fun rather than a boring chore. Do things like dancing, jumping rope, bicycling, hiking or swimming. Find a fun activity that burns a lot of calories and try to do it daily.

    For eating balanced healthy meals, I keep a food diary on www.prevention.com Health Tracker. I input what I eat, and it analyzes how much fat, protein and carbs I ate, plus it calculates how many calories I burned.


  2. Start small. Just begin with adding a little extra exercise in to your day, like walk/running around the block. After a week, challenge yourself to going for 2 laps, then soon you'll be up to 5. If you just try to exercise for an hour a day and eat healthy after years of doing neither, you will never stay on track. Just make small changes. A lap around the block takes like 15 minutes and can be done before or after work or school. As far as eating right, again simple changes. Switch to whole wheat bread instead of white. Instead of snacking on chips, eat an apple with peanut butter or grapes. Wheat thins are great whole wheat crackers that you can snack on. String cheese is good, etc. Just watch your portions and soon you will be on your way to healthy! :)
