A summary of Olympic headlines from Yahoo;

It's NOT "such and such wins the gold, everyone happy",

but instead, from yahoo, it's-

"Controversy" on the opening ceremony fireworks,

"Controversy" on Phelps being the greatest olympian,

"Controversy" on that sprinter not getting coverage because of Phelps

"Controversy" on those two gymnasts getting the same score and one getting the gold,

"Controversy" on the Swimsuits of spain,

"Controversy" on yao ming playing for china and that other guy not allowed in the nba.

"Controversy" on the wrestler throwing his medal and getting stripped.

and that's just some of the great headlines from the yahoo front page.

Thanks for the great coverage yahoo, i could feel the olympic spirit thriving in the hearts of your editors and scandal mongerers.

  1. exactly

  2. Its news as usual. Sensationalism sells. yahoo has to keep the edge to be competitive. Everyone does it, save for a few. Yahoo is as much a prostitute as is anyone else, but they also try to keep up the squeaky clean family values BS we have all come to know and love.

    yeah, Im really curious to look at some stupid video about what Phelps wants to eat after the Olympics are over.........

  3. Even worse than the so called 'controversies' (which most of them aren't) are the stupid blogs written by the yahoo Olympic bloggers.

    @la solitudine me

    Yes, I agree. It seems the only thing Chris Chase blogs about are the 'controversies.' He has like 20 articles devoted solely to ranting about how the Chinese gymnasts are underaged....seriously we all know already and the topic has been beaten to death!

  4. their bloggers are worse. (Points to Chris Chase). But I guess they just want more clicks to the website.
