  1. Don't expect a whole lot for it when you're selling it. I own a marina and have been doing this stuff for a long time (doesn't make me any more of an expert) and I will tell you up front that Bayliner boats do not hold value at all. The real value with a boat like that is in the powerplant, because it's a MerCruiser and they are the best on the water. If the boat is in good shape, is maintained, and has been used somewhat often will bring anywhere from $3500 to $5000 ($5000 if you find the "right" buyer). If you were to trade it in, if you get more than $3500 for it, you're doing alright. It's so hard to sell a used Bayliner, you really do need to find the right buyer, the one that is just getting into boating, or the one that doesn't want to spend a whole lot to get on the water. However, for your bang-for-your-buck boat, it's kinda hard to beat. Good Luck!

  2. Around 4500 to 5000, maybe a little more if it has a trailor.

  3. are you trying to buy one or sell one? Search all over craigslist and ebay--find comparable models and see what they are going for...

I used the nada guide as well when I bought my used boat--the most important thing, was this boat taken care of? 1996 was 12 years ago-would you buy a car thats 12 years old? YOU MIGHT! Matters where this boat has been used, in the northwest (we I am) boats see action from june to sept--otherwise its too cold.

My concerns are-how was this boat stored? if left out in the elements the interior is cooked and faded--etc... If this boat was used sparingly, and covered, stored in a shop/garage it might be worth looking at and buying for the right price.

Engine maintainence will count as well-was the outdrive serviced annually? Oil changed regularly? Have a boat mechanic inspect all the fluids-making sure everything is in working order.

  4. We just bought a used Bayliner. Did lots of research before making our purchase.  Go to www.nadaguides.com. n There are    marine listings here.  You can enter all your boats options and the condition of the boat to get a fair market value.  Values can vary depending on the options your boat has as well as the condition it's in.  Hope this helps!!
