Can someone please tell me how to cahnge my "id" as seen in my group?

I am listed with my email which is not very identifying so would like to use my full name instead. I went in and created that profile but am at a loss as to how to change to that profile within my group (i am owner) Do I have to join as a new member and then transfer ownership to myself?

No, you don't have to join as a new member.  

This is how to change your screen name to your real name.

Go to http://my.yahoo.com or any group in which you are a member and sign in.

Click on "My Account" near top of screen.

Enter your password again.

On the far right side of page, click on "Edit/Create Profiles."

Near top of page, to the right of the profile you wish to edit, click on "Edit".

Click on "Edit Profile Information" tab.

In the field "Real Name", add your real first and last name.

Scroll to bottom of page and click on "Save Changes".

ADD A PROFILE:

go to:  your group/ edit membership at top of page  /add profile
