  1. What do you want done ?

    Factorise perhaps ?

    121 - 9 (x² - 2x + 1)

    121 - 9x² + 18x - 9

    - 9x² + 18x + 112

    (- 3x + 14)(3x + 8)

  2. Use the identity a^2-b^2 = (a+b)(a-b)   You can multiply RHS to verify

    121 - 9(x-1)^2

    (11)^2 -   3^2(x-1)^2

    [11]^2 - [3(x-1)]^2

    Use identity at this step

    (11+3x-3)(11-3x+3)

    (8+3x)(14-3x)

If u hav to factorise this is the answer

If you hav 2 find out values of x equate this to zero

    (8+3x)(14-3x) = 0

    8+3x =0  or  14-3x = 0

    x= (-8/3)  or x=14/3

  3. 121-9(x-1)^2

    121-9(x^2-2x+1)

    121-9x^2+18x-9

    -9x^2+18x+112

  4. 121-9(x-1)^2

    11^2-{3(x-1)}^2

    11^2-{3(x-1)}^2

    (11+3x-3)(11-3x+3)     ( a^2-b^2={a+b}{a-b} )

    (8+3x)(14-3x)

  5. (11+3(x-1))(11-3(x-1)

  6. 1) 121-9(x-1)^2

    2) 121-9(x-1)(x-1)

    3) 121- 9(x^2 -2x +1)

    4) 121 - 9x^2 + 18x - 9

    5) final answer: -9x^2 + 18x +112
