Can someone please tell me how to make a sling? And not the kind of sling for an arm, or the slingshot.?

I want to make an old fassioned sling, like the one used in the story of David andGolieth. If you can help please do. THANKS! I am not going to use it to harm anything!

My co-teacher in Sunday School (we teach elementary-age kids) brought one a few weeks ago to show what they looked like.  It was a little square leather piece (maybe 6"x6") with long leather straps (maybe about 1/4" thick and about 36" long each) coming from the four corners.  Put something in the pocket, grab the straps, and swing the whole thing around and around over your head.  

It is a skill that takes some practice, so please, please, pleeeease, start your training with water balloons.  Go to a park.  If you have an accident while you're learning to aim, it is tons and bunches better to have had that accident with a water balloon!  Someone gets wet, and probably a bit upset at you, but no one gets injured.
