Question:

Can someone please tell me what, exactly, Sarah Palin brings to the Republican race for the White House?

I'm seriously trying to learn what the appeal was in choosing her as running mate. I've heard her described as a "new hero for social conservatives". What exactly does that mean?

  1. you see the American people have drifted so far away from their

base that they forgot what decent people look like..

Obama appeals to them because he is the devil and the devil

to show them there really is a place worse then what they got now

We need a generation of vipers to be wiped out.  It started after the

second WW..and America is gotten beyond redemption

  3. Oil connection and money  he is just for how Rove, Beck, Bush will be running it.

  4. The Pres won't have to rely on interns for extra marital s*x.  And could you blame him?

  5. She is going to secure the votes of redneck America

  6. How about .... Hope & Change!!!!   (lol)  For real this time!

  7. A normal sized neck and an undersized brain.

  8. Nothing.  She has ended up being a liability.  It's clear that she was chosen hastily to attract the dissatisfied Hillary Clinton crowd, but in the end I think it was mistake.  People are laughing at the choice.

  9. A counterpart to McCain's old withered appearance

  10. She brings and offers nothing but a distraction to help hide McCain's garbage!

It's easy to pick an unknown.... make them out to be anything you want and try and sell it to the ignorant people!  This whole thing is a joke..

  11. She has a v****a...

  12. apparently she's refreshing and stands up to corruption. the only problem is, she doesn't stand up to her own corruption instead she abuses her role as governor. she's refreshing simply because everyday she exposes a refreshing new disaster.

  13. She is Anti-Choice, Anti-Birth Control, Anti-Civil Rights, Anti-Science and a Religious Zealot.

Ernest V - I do not fear the debate, however I believe we have already had the debate and the creationists lost. I guess as an engineer I base my world in reality where as the right wing has their own alternate reality.

  14. The change Obama promised but didn't deliver.

  15. Nothing.  She is a puppet just like Mcsame

  16. McCain must have figured he already had enough cache with the "independents", so he wanted to do something to get the hardcore conservatives enthused enough to bother to vote for him. Hence no Lieberman or Giuliani.

She also brings a very shrill voice...

  17. she has socially conservative values.  Pro life, NRA supporter, she's taken on the corrupted government in her area and won against her own party (the corrupted government).   She's gone against her party on several occasions making her somewhat of a "maverick".   She has an 80% approval rating as governor meaning she is EXTREMELY popular among her constituents.   And she obviously appeals to women considering she is the first legitimate shot at having a woman in the #2 spot in the country.

  18. How could she possibly be in touch with the rest of the country living in a climate and culture so different than the rest of America less Hawaii. I think if Matilda the Hun ran for office, the Republicans would pick her too. Some Republicans will pick anybody and anything over Obama because their evil hearts can't see past color! The only thing she's bringing to the table is Moose Stew...so out-of-touch and she seems a bit bLichee.

Obama can relate ; Obama 08!

  19. She has traditional conservative values.  Less government spending, more issues allowed to be decided by States, staunch 2nd amendment rights proponent,  wants to actually enforce our borders (I mean, we have them for a reason right?), low taxes equal a good economy, etc. etc.

In a nutshell she is more conservative than McCain.

Wow, just let the hate keep flowing people...

  20. A great set of legs!

No! McCain is known as soft on many conservative issues. Palin is a born again Christian that will reassure the Christian right of McCain's respect for their influence in the party.

Palin is a middle class "Hockey Mom!" She hunts large animals that many American men can only dream about. She has dealt with many family issues that others will appreciate. Independent women (not Feminists) are going to love her as they get to know her better. Conservatives are going to show up for McCain in November.

Reform and change. She took out the head of her own party for corruption and kicked his A$$, took her a few years of fight. She sold his jet on E Bay and then fired his friends. She cut some waste. This is a super woman.

  21. She keeps her campaign promises and fights corruption.

H2O engineer, I think you need to dig a little deeper.  She has kept her campaign promise to keep her personal view about creation out of her politics, even though she does express her views that we shouldn't fear the debate.

    Do you fear the debate?

  22. Milk and Orio cookies for McCain, just before bedtime.

  23. Pity. is what she brings.
