Can someone please tell me what species of butterfly this is?

I live in the southeastern Arizona desert and this lovely creature hung around me for a good half an hour.

I took several pictures of it.

Can anyone idenify it?

The Latin name for it is "lucent Bavarianistcrys". Not many of these around.

lucent Bavarianistcrys is not a butterfly, in fact I am positive it is a made up name.
