Oddly enough 'lightening up' has spiritual benefits.  Several faiths have been known to use humour to get people beyond assumptions, to help them look at things from a new angle.

So if the 'lime kitty' thing gets a few people thinking, or even just to chuckle, I'd say that's a good thing.  But if such silliness is not to your taste, that's fine.  Everyone is different.
