  1. Please note that the Islander is not a turbo-prop airplane.  Those are ordinary normally aspirated piston engines.

I wish people would stop posting answers here about things they know nothing about.

  2. Britten Norman BN2A Islander.

  3. Looks like it's a Britten Norman BN2A Islander.  It says "Islander" above the door as well, though to the uninformed that could be misleading, as one might just think it's this particular aircraft's nickname.

This aircraft is operated by Aer Arann Islands, the regional connection carrier for Aer Arann.

  4. One that flies.

  5. The baby brother of the Britten-Norman Trislander, it's a Britten-Norman Islander.

  6. all three above posts are correct, beautiful BN2A Islander.

  7. Britten Norman BN2 Islander

  8. I'm going to have to agree with Aviophage.  If you don't know, don't type.  However, if you want 2 points, do a search and put a little effort into it.

The TYPE doesn't refer to high vs low wing, take a look at the FAA's web page to see their designators: http://www.faa.gov/airports_airtraffic/a...
