I agree with the first answerer, Jackson Heights. 74th Street and B'way/37th Avenue.I used to live in the area and there are a lot of Indian ppl living in that part of Queens.

Indian:  best bets around the Jackson Heights/Roosevelt Avenue subway station in Queens

Middle Eastern:  Atlantic Avenue btwn Court and 4th Avenues in Brooklyn, best clothing options concentrated on the eastern (4th Avenue) end.

Jackson Heights is the best place for Indian stores, but there's a smaller Little India in Manhattan on Lexington Avenue between 27th and 29th Streets that has some Indian clothing stores.

For Middle Eastern, try Steinway Street in Queens around 25th Avenue, or Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn.
