Question:

Can someone please tell me why the Alliance almost always loses to the Horde in the battle ground of Alterac?

In World of Warcraft (Ravencrest realm) it seems as if though the Horde is far more organized and they seem to work as a unit or team. Meanwhile, the Alliance seems to work as solo attackers who get picked off one at a time. At first, the Alliance often seems to have the upper hand. But it is the arrogant confidence Alliance players have that the Horde players use to bide their time and then just pick us off one at a time. Nobody defends anything and nobody seems to work as a team and nobody heals and nobody protects on the Alliance side.

So far, in 20 games, we won once. Is because Blizzard employee's play the Horde and that is why they work so well as a team? Or is it just that the Alliance draws less of a team player mentality? I really don't get it. It doesn't matter what time of the day we are playing or what the odds or numbers are. We still lose and it is getting really old. Can someone break it down for me as to why we always lose that makes sense and, more to the point, explain how we can win for a change?

Any insight would be helpful. Thanks.

  1. Turnabout is fair play.  It used to be that the Horde always lost in Alteric Valley.

Erikf did have a bit of a point.  The Alliance's numbers do play against you.  The Alliance is more popular with the younger, less mature crowd.  Plust you have Queue times to deal with more than the Horde.  We rarely had to wait more than a few minutes between games, while you may have to wait a bit longer.

It is not Blizzard employees that you have to worry about.  Traditionally, the Horde have always had the edge when it came to the Battlegrounds.  Being outnumberd for so long have taught us how to survive a bit better.

  2. Need a strong leader to get people to do their roles, not just run all over the place. I haven't done any of the pvp myself, but I see no inherent reason Horde is better, except for the players themselves. Having played pve, my experience is that the older more mature players are more often on the horde side than alliance. (at least on my server)
