Can someone please tell me why the new kids on the block...?

are still calling themselves new and why they are referring to themselves as kids since they are clearly nearly 40 year old men?

Shouldn't a moer appropriate name be...

obviously, you have never been a fan of theirs.  i am a 41 year old fan that loved them back then and i am thrilled that they are back together again.  as for the name, they do go by nkotb and new kids on the block.  no, they are not kids anymore, but a name change would not be right in my eyes.  have any other bands that have made a comeback changed their names?  NO!    if you actually gave their new cd a listen, you might surprise yourself and like what you hear.  don't criticize them for making a comeback.  obviously, they still have a HUGE fan base!

The Beach Boys are in their 60s and they're obviously not boys anymore are they? It's only a name and it wouldn't be the same if they changed it after so long. However, New Kids On The Block also go by NKOTB because that's what they were called on their 1994 album 'Face The Music'.

Instead of criticizing them, I think people just need to give them a chance. Other groups have been given a chance to make a comeback, now it's their turn.
