  1. I won't be so rash as # 1 or # 2, even if they thumb me down. I like it.

EXACT might be the issue greater than the how to.

It looks to be on steel legs, probably frame as well, and what can't be seen, if it exists, is a depression for a box spring, or is it just a platform with a mattress resting on? One problem I see in the image, is there seems to be not support structure to keep the mattress stable in any side to side, back and forth movement, OR and again, what the support structure is in the span. Assume that a Queen or King, Box and mattress could weigh more than 100 lbs. Many are sold in double twin box springs, and frames, to attach. Then consider body weight.

An option for you could be to build a platform base, equating it's height, in your comfort and notion, to that of a regular metal bed frame. You could even use a metal bed frame and enclose it, so that the bed looks as much as it's floating, but not have legs at the corners.

Enclosing a regular bed frame would allow a box spring and mattress, and then designing that SHELF, surrounding the mattress. Another issue I see is some comfort level in what so many people do, SIT at the edge of a mattress, before standing to get OUT of the bed. The design example seems to make that difficult.

To actually craft that PLATFORM would take substantial support in any framework you crafted, to avoid OOOPS at the perimeters, though you could ADD corner legs, which to me seem to take away from FLOATING bed design.

Certainly you could craft this, and attach it to a wall, using only foot end legs to aid in support and some level of invisibility in the rest of the support structure.

In any intent, if you are captured by the design, and if It was me, I'd bite the bullet and buy it.

    Just my two "sense"

  2. its ugly. you are not going to be able to build this yourself. because of the material used, you need special machines to make the wood.
