Can someone plz explain dark matter and dark energy better for me than I already understand it?

I know that we are a runaway universe as a result of this dark energy caused by dark matter pushing us outward not allowing our rebound back effect initially expected. what will happen to our planet if this dark energy keeps pushing us; we are finally going to run into dark matter territory if we are surrounded by it right? what then? and what is your best definition of what this dark matter is if it isn't made of anything that we know of, then what is the best definition or description of it's composition? at what rate is our universe speeding up? what consequences does this mean for our galaxy? collision into something? bouncing into another universes space possibly?

Eddie is more or less correct.

Both Dark Energy and Dark Matter are the current hypotheses put forward to explain observations. They are not well understood.

Basically, dark matter is need to explain gravitational interactions we observe as orbital motions.

Dark energy s hypothesized to explain why the universe is not only expanding, but that this expansion is getting faster, rather than slower, which we might expect given that all the mass should be attracting all the other mass and thus pulling inwards, not pushing outwards

dark matter nor dark energy exist.  they are names for the two major unknowns in astronomy.  science doesn't have everything figured out yet.
