  1. you fist your hand... hold the ball with one and hit the ball up and out with the finger side of the other

  2. Well, i can tell you that practice makes perfect so practice, practice, practice! When you serve, hold your hand (the one holding the ball) straight out in front of you. Do not throw the ball up, you will never know which way it will go if you do that.

Then, bring your hitting hand back to your thigh/leg or a little farther if you need to. When you are ready, bring your hitting hand to the ball and just as you are about to hit the ball, remove your supporting hand and follow through like you are talking on the phone. If you do it right, you should be able to direct the ball straight onto the other side of the net.

REMEMBER, NEVER TAKE YOUR EYES OFF THE BALL!!

  3. Tossing the ball up a bit before you hit it is not good. You don't get the angle you need. Face the net, hold the ball steady in you hand (depending on which is you dominant and non-dominant hand), keep your knees bent, and swing your dominant hand to hit the ball. Just practice hitting the ball out of your hand at home and try not to toss it up. Tossing it up makes you swing up more which causes you to loose some of your momentum rather than swinging less to contact the ball sending it over perfectly.

Tossing the ball even just a little bit causes it to shift out of the correct place and cause you to hit it wrong.

  4. this is very super easy. ive played v-ball 4 i think 6 years. ok, hold the ball like on a platform on ur hand directly in front of ur dominate shoulder. DO NOT move ur non dominant hand at all while serving! Close ur hand into a fist and have ur fingers pointing towards the ball. Bend ur knees slightly, bring ur fist back and swing ur fist towards the ball. if you hit ur hand while trying to hit the ball overthe net, then u seriously need to work on some hand eye  coordination!

              OVER HAND SERVE:

hold the ball once again towards ur dominant shoulder in ur nondominant hand. toss the ball up about five feet above ur head. while the ball is going up pull ur  dominant arm back making ur elbow pointing backwards. when the ball is about arms lenght above ur head, hit it with all ur might with ur fingers open and ur hand flat like ur trying to put a hand print on the ball. if u don't get it over the first few times dont worry about it. i didn't get my first over hand serve over until the middle of the fifth grade! id been working on it since the third grade and finally got it over , so don't worry, youll get it eventually. : ) Good luck!

  5. keep the ball steady on your hand......... then step back and hit the ball with the palm of ur hand trust me u would love to do that because on my team u have to serve at least 1 over hand serve or jump serve

also target where ur going to hit

  6. make it one motion, i used t odo that, and you jsut have ot use your arm, try doign it open handed. i jsut kept practicing, idk what else ot say

    goodluck! =]

  7. your arm should never swing down the side like in baseball or in tennis

bend your hand down. this should give you topspin

lift off the ground as if jumping but dont really jump unless you can execute a jump serve. this will use your legs and abs into your serve

  8. Okay I'm going to tell you what i do...if you a lefty just reverse them because I'm a righty. I hold the ball in my left hand then bring my right hand up to the ball as if I'm going to serve it...to sort of get me prepared then I step with my left foot then put my right foot down hard and swing a few seconds after I put my right foot down. And when I swing my arm I hit it with a fist not my forearm. You cant get as much power with the forearm. I hope that helps...when I first started volleyball I was having the same problem.

  9. i would not throw the ball up a little bit because it can go to one side and when  you hit it, it will go crashing into the net. tips: step with your left foot (if your right handed) or with your right foot ( if your left handed) when you serve to get more DISTANCE which will help you get it over the net

hit the ball with your fist not hand

don't hit the ball up because it will start off going forward untill your realize it's going straight up

    hope that helps!!!
