  1. A symphony in 4 movements normally has a first movement in sonata form,  a slow second movement, a third movement in triple time that is often derived from a dance form and a faster final movement, which is often lighter in character than the other movements. The 2nd and 3rd movements often appear in a different order- i.e. triple-time second, slow third.

Also, concertos typically have 3 movements, not 4.

  2. WELL, first off, a piece of music doesn't have to have 4 movements. And second, a movement is just a chunk of the entire piece of music. For example, in a marching band, the opener/ballad/closer are all movement of the entire show.

  3. A "Symphony" is a musical work that has 4 movements.  You should read up on symphonies.  It's usually Fast, Slow, Medium and then Fast again but not always.

Hope I helped a little.  Your question is pretty broad.
