Can someone press charges after 6 years latter?

can my ex press charges on me now after 6 years latter and decide to take me to court for kidnapping and is this a way to just make him think that I will be so scared that I will pay what ever he wants me to pay for the Doctor bill that he made with our kid.

  1. he cant do anything

    he obviously was okay with the situation or else he would have come foward before


  2. Your ex can press whatever he wants anytime he wants.  It does not mean the police, or the district attorney, is going to do jack sh*t when he fills out the complaint form.  Believe me, six years later, unless there is a dead body, nobody cares.

  3. If I understand your question, your ex is threatening to press charges on you for "kidnapping" your own child 6 years ago so you will pay for a doctor bill that he owes? If that is correct, then tell him to go s***w himself! If he can find someone to do that then good luck!  

  4. There is a Statute of Limitations law for every crime. Because this kidnapping was not a federal crime, it really depends on the state laws.  

  5. Yes as long as you are guilty of the crime.
