  1. An acre is 43,560 ft^2, a standard football field is 360 ft by 160 ft, or 57,600 ft^2

  2. An acre is 43,560 square feet....if you have an acre with equal sides in the shape of a perfect square.....

then the square root of 43,560 sf is 208.7 feet...so it would be a square plot of land with 208.7 feet on all 4 sides.

A football field is 1.32 acres

Football field is 160 feet wide, and 360 feet long (300 feet for the 100 yards plus 30 feet each for the endzones)

    160ft x 360ft =  57,600 square feet

divided by one acre which is 43,560 square feet

    57,600 / 43,560 =  1.32 acres

  3. Approximately one football field (excluding end zones).

    1 acre = 43,560 ft²

    football field = 300 ft x 150 ft = 45,000 ft²

A large retail store (like a Walmart or Target) is around 120,000 ft².  Nearly 3 acres under the roof.

The link below shows an acre superimposed on a football field.

  4. An acre was the amount of land a one horse drawn plow could cultivate in one day.
