Want to treat my bf to a nice meal, but am not earning a lot so it's got to be quite cheap.

Thanks!

  1. If you like fish, English's in the Lanes is nice (Brighton), as is La Fourchette (Western Road). There's also a great little Mexican place near Hove Town Hall. If you're willing to go another 8 odd miles outside of Brighton, Benbos is in Newhaven and fantastic and cheap - but you'd need to book.

  2. There are a couple of reasonable priced places that I like. Harrys in Hove is great, it has about 20 tables, (you'd need to book) isn't very expensive, but it is small and quite basic but that is why i like it. Basic wooden tables and chairs, paper table clothes with tea lights on the table (sounds a bit naff but is very sweet), good english food and fantastic service, the waiters and waitresses are always nice.

The other option if you want to go for a reasonably priced Italian is La Galleria in Shoreham - in between Brighton and Worthing. A bigger restaurant but with much more atmosphere and again excellent food and very friendly.

(Perhaps if you get the dinner date returned you could opt for something more expensive and try Hotel Du Vin in Brighton, always fantastic for a romantic night).

I hope you have a great evening.

  3. When we were in Brighton we went to a little Indian restaurant, But I can't remember the name, it was quite reasonable too.

    Sorry

  4. Having searched to near desperation point for somewhere decent to eat in Littlehampton, my partner and I stumbled across the Rustington Manor Hotel and Restaurant by accident and decided to give it a try. Wow, what a fantastic evening! The staff are impeccably trained and the food is exquisite. Although you can choose a more expensive meal, they do offer a set menu which is very reasonably priced and their wines are also very good value. We will definitely be going back.

Worthing I would not bother with.

Brighton is just bursting with places but just do some research beforehand so that you get the atmosphere that you want. Our particular favourite is Terre a Terre because the menu is so different.

    Terre a Terre

    71 East Street

    Brighton BN1 1NQ

  5. Can I make a suggestion please. Don't look at Worthing and most definitely don't choose Littlehampton.

If you live in Brighton there is so much to chose from and at different price ranges, so pick those if you can.

Check them out first though, what is romantic and cheap to one may not be to another.

    Have a great evening.
