  1. Depending on price and how big your party is, here's a small list to look into:

"The Chart House" in Redondo Beach. Very expensive, but sits right on the water and a nice atmosphere. (Steak, fish, chicken and salads).

"Olive Garden" in Torrance on Hawthorne Blvd. Great family place. Prices not as expensive. (Italian Food).

"Cheesecake Factory" in Redondo Beach. Sits right on the water. Medium expensive. It's really busy and loud, but it's best to go around 2:00pm on a Sunday afternoon. Not as loud. (All kinds of food).

  2. Proud Bird by the airport is an awesome place for anniversaries and other celebrations. They have private rooms where you can seat a crowd if you need to.  The food is good and fits everyone's taste.

If your dad is a veteran he might enjoy the vintage airplanes parked behind the restaurant. Even if not, the views of landing and take-offs at LAX can't be beat.

  3. Someone already mentioned but the Chart House is very nice.

If you are looking for something a bit more fun try Tony's on the pier in Redondo.

Many of the places on the Redondo Pier would be good.

For nicer fare try anything along the boardwalk in Hermosa or Manhattan.

After you can take them to the Comedy and Magic club for laughs.

  4. If there's a buffet type returant close, that would be the best bet. Since no one can agree on what they want, I'd go that route.
