Question

some of my favourite films:

little miss sunshine, napoleon dynamite, donnie darko, the butterfly effect, this is england, this boy's life, harry potters, toy story (all the pixars), muriels wedding, about a boy, love actually, bridget jones etc.

i basically like offbeat comedies and powerful dramas. :P

These are very powerful dramas in black and white...one

called the "The Seven Samurai" and it was the movie the Magnificent Seven was based but this is a Japanese movie. Another movie that is powerful is "Rashomon"also Japanese its about a incident that is told by different people and the same incident has different versions.  They are both riveting, and are subtitled ,but you get so into the movie you forget all that as you go deeper into the characters and the plot.

Both came out quite some time ago but they are very good dramatic movies and also sad..
