  1. Kinda depends where you are going to be.  There are a lot of restaurants throughout the country.

I would suggest just going out the door from where you are staying, and walking down the street.  You will surely find a place with something yummy to eat.  Look in the windows, check out what tapas they have on the blackboard or on top of the bar.

And have one of whatever for me.  Cause I love it.  Whatever it is.

  2. Los Caracoles, "Set portes" They are not cheap. Set portes (7 doors) is expensive but their food is really good. Cheaper ones are Madrid-Barcelona in 282 Aragon St. off Passeig de Gracia and "La Casola" in Sant Sever, 3 which is a family run restaurant with home cooked catalan food. The catalan paella is the best one to my liking in the whole Spain. And Catalan cooking is one of the best cooking in Spain.

  3. If you're going to be in Madrid I suggest checking out the Irish pubs.... Dubliner's the food is AMAZING there!!

  4. Corral del Pato - One of our faviorites outside of Gata on Lliber-Jalon road. Very good catalan cuisine with polular menu; amazing wood fired lamb, oxen and duck.

Eat in or outside under huge carob trees.

Recommended,  Tel 96 575 68 34 Local Jalon wine by pitchers. Xcept Mon

  5. If you like Middle eastern foods, I can recomend the Mesopotamia restaurant.
