Can someone ruin your credit without having your social?

what happened was i had a personal injury law suit pending and in the meantime did physical thearapy on my leg on a lean.well my law suit got dismissed and now the p.thearapy co.wants to collect from me...do i have to pay ???and they only have my name and phone number not my social security number...can that still ruin my credit if it gets sent to collections???

  1. Yes, they can still ruin your credit. Your social isn't always needed. I'm sure they know enough information about you  to send you to collections.


  2. Of course they can. They have your personal information on file and they can report your account.

    Technically, you do not HAVE to pay anything, but the consequences of not paying this bill may be serious (collections, judgment, etc.).

    If it gets sent to collections, you will have two bad accounts on your credit: the original debt from the physical therapy outfit and the collection agency.

    If you cannot pay the bill in full, ask them if they would be open to monthly payments.
