Can someone scam you on ebay?

Ive never purchased through it and someone is selling a car but im nervous because it is located out of state.

  2. Yes, they can quite hapilly Show you a Picture of a Nintendo Wii, and in the Small print at the bottom they can say "Not actual Console, just a piece of paper with the words Wii"

    So if you buy it, you would just recieve a  A4 piece of paper sayinf "WII".

  9. Yes.Remember to sign up for and pay using Paypal. Make sure the person you are buying from accepts Paypal as a form of payment and the seller has a high feedback score. Paypal protects you either up to $200.00 or $2000.00 depending on the seller. It will list which level of protection is offered in the auction under the sellers information. Do not send cash or money order to sellers especially those with a low feedback score or out of the country.

Yes they can and I have been scammed.  I have over 1,000 transactions and still watch out.  The best source is to look at the person who is selling something to you, their feedback.  If they have limited feedback or *** only recent feedback*** as a buyer not seller be cautious.  Only pay for your purchases through a credit card, or a credit card through PayPal.  If the merchandise doesn't show up, or is not as represented, you have recourse to reverse the charge.
