Fiance visa or K1 is only if she is at home and you as a US Citizen must apply for it an prove that you have a relationship. Once granted (which takes months), you will have 3 months to get married in the United States. She can then begin the process to be a conditional permanent resident. After an amount of time the conditional can be removed.
