no, just dont bother with the HB place on the road going UP there...it's right at Howe Sound on the right side...with steps going up to the cafe;.  you can look across the sound and see the mill at Samish.   The HBs are HORRIBLE!   This place was so bad...it's been 10 years ago, & I still remember it.  ukkkkkkkkkkkkkk...  The restaurant was featured in the movie "Leaving Normal".

its a small exspensive  town lots of mountain scenery. Take the greyhound bus or  Whistler mountaineer  train   see hellobc  and  tourismwhistler for free guiides

While in Whistler you can take the gondola to the top of Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains for a fantastic view.  You can ski at the alpine levels, hike, mountain bike, downhill as well as cross country.  Fish in the many lakes and streams, swim, relax  in the many beautiful hotels, wildlife tours, night clubbing, shopping, great restaurants, Zip Treking (very neat) and many other outdoor opportunities.  Hope you have a great time.

Whistler is a ski resort town located in British Columbia so the whole town would be a place you would visit.  As to activities there it depends on the time of year you go.  Obviously in the winter skiing, snow boarding and other winter sports as well as various night clubs are things to do and places to go.  During the summer there may still be some boarding on the glaciers however activities vary from fishing to hiking, white water rafting to canoeing, biking, and other out door activities.
