  1. Refer to these blogs.

  2. There are literally 100s of temples and shrines to see in Kyoto!

Personally I love the Arashi-yama district, where the famous bamboo forest is.

  3. Please keep in mind when you visit Kyoto gets very hot in Summer and Cold in Winter so you will likely be out in the Snow.

Kinkakuji (The Golden Pavilion) (金閣寺). This is a must see. It looks amazing alll year but I love it most in Winter.

Ryōan-ji (龍安寺) is not far away from Kinkakuji. This is the most famous zen rock garden in Japan and another must see place.

Nijō Castle (二条城) is wonderful. The garden is very beautiful and the tour of the castle estate is very interesting. The nightengale floors are really creative.

Kiyomizu-dera (清水寺) is one of the most famous places in Kyoto. It offers a large deck built out onto the Mountain with a wonderful view.

Gion district (祇園) is always popular. You may see a Maiko, or Geiko (Geisha) You might not but the old style houses are wonderful and you can find some great places to eat or buy snacks and gifts. Night is the best time to visit this area.

Fushimi Inari Shrine (伏見稲荷大社) is a wonderful place to walk along. Thousands of orange torii create a seemingly never ending tunnel you walk through. but they are spaced far enough apart to look around and enjoy the area.

These are some of my favorite places but Kyoto has countless others. I suggest checking out the bus schedule and locations of the places you want to visit. they are mostly in clusters and spread out over the city. You will waste too much time if you try to go back and fourth it's best to pick an area and visit all the things in that area.

    Have a great trip.

  4. I recommend you should go to kinkakuji and kiyomizudera . Both of them are amazing and spiritual place , famous for traditional something  in Japan , I think .

Don't bow too much when you meet Japanese , it's seems like a foolish .
