  1. a small War

  2. I have no idea. But I bet you can find it on google.

  3. Georgia responded to some small attacks by separatist in S. Ossetia. A disputed part of Georgia about the size of a county. It was a set up because immediately a waiting Russian Army crossed into Georgia to protect S. Ossetia from the evil Georgians. They occupied half of Georgia in a couple of days.

France and the US  and now all of the European powers have demanded Russia pull out of Georgia. Slowly Russia is complying.

What this is all about is the Russians being angry Georgia which used to be part of the USSR wants to join NATO. Georgia is the location of the only oil pipeline out of 5 that supplies Western Europe that is not controlled by Russia. Russia wanted to exert her power and stick her finger in the eye of America and her allies by showing the world I can do anything I want and you can`t do a thing about it. Russia has spent over a week very slowly pulling her forces out.

This is also meant to scare the pants off all the other former USSR states that broke away when the USSR collapsed.

It has been a great success for Russia. She has told the world "I'm Back" and achieved all her goals except one. That is the old USSR country of Poland announced a deal with America to install SDI. Russia didn't like that at all.

She may or may not pay for this through diplomatic sanctions but frankly I don't think they care. It is the old tough USSR reborn as a capitalist nation and they have money, oil, and power.

  4. You can Google it. Go to google.com and enter Georgia war with Russia. It's that easy.
