Can someone teach me how to do a cube math problem?

Question

for example, if i have say, x^3+3x-7=2, how would i solve the cube. I am not asking for homework help, and have never learned this before. i searched for how to do it, but all that came up was rubiks cube. anyway, would any of you be so kind as to show me how to do this?
