Can someone explain why they feel the need to run this experiment, which can have horrific results. Turning everything to anti matter and creating micro black holes here on earth? WHY....thanks

That's just scare mongering. The kind of high energy particles they are planning on creating are actually striking the earth all the time in form of cosmic rays. If it hasn't happened yet its not going to happen. As to why they are doing the experiment its to better particle physics. There is no direct application in mind as far as I know. But by increasing our fundamental knowledge about the make up of the universe it may well spawn new areas in science and inventions that we hadn't even thought of may become possible.

That's not going to happen.

Realistically something that takes such high energy to create will be inherently unstable and will revert to normal practically instantly. When they do these experiments this usually reverts in fractions of a split second (not very scientific. I know).

There is a reason some things either don't occur in nature or a extremely rare.
