I need to replace MusicMatch and don't want to downgrade to Yahoo. I need to preserve over 7000 songs I want to put on discs. Sniff has answered so many of the questions I researched - if you're out there please tell me who you switched to - I tried comparing on Wikipedia; don't know what most of that stuff is - I need a jukebox that will allow me to download from WinMX and transfer to CDs - Any advice would be appreciated.

  1. Windows Media Player 11 will rip and burn and transfer to portable players. It doesn't have "line in" recording like MMJB for getting stuff from your FM radio or old LP's though. MMJB had more features than any other player even though not everyone liked the look and feel of the interface. You can still use MMJB after the shut down of the online store and radio service. Everything will still work except those features. Any new song purchases can be done from one of these stores at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows...    Lots of choices but you will have to use Windows Media Player for the new purchases. Real Player is another option for new song purchases and ripping and burning and transfer to portables. I will continue to use MMJB for some of the functions that the other players don't have. I am happy that it will still work after thier store closes.
