  1. Yes it is very beautiful and you should also visit the nearby seaside town Buzios ("discovered" by Brigitte Bardot in the sixties) and little Arraial do Cabo (visit the "Perfect Beach"). Don´t miss the boat tours, they are great, and you can go diving and eat seafood in boat-restaurants. Careful with the jellyfish though... If you want hot hot summer and a big big crowd the best time is january, but if you are into a more peaceful atmosphere maybe November because it´s warm and it´s not so packed yet. Buzios is famous for its nightlife and fancy restaurants! I think you can easily rent apartments in Cabo Frio, you should look for a big agency in Rio.

  2. it's Cabo Frio - no 's'

  3. I haven't visited Los Cabos, Mexico, yet, but you can search for information online.  Let's try visiting a directory to Cabo Frio Web sites (www.cabodream.com/cabo/cabo_frio.html).

  4. I hope you meant Cabo Frio in Brazil that is off the hook!  Cabos Frio is a group from the 80's that made the new leave it to beaver song, lol.  But i have a hunch you mean the vacation spot.  Well they say that...

    PROS:

Beautiful white sand beaches with blue water

mountains, churches, and other great site seeing things.

    CONS:

    Can be crowded

Cabo Frio is about 3 hours outside of Rio de Janeiro and is a beautiful locals getaway from the city. There, you'll find barracas (little quisoques) that serve food and drinks, people riding on horseback and beautiful beaches. Some of the beaches are crowded a la Copacabana, but some are deserted paradises

here are some pictures from their city government site.

    go here...

  6. I have a Brazilian traveling guide and here are some websites you can look at to make your reservation:

    www.pousadaleandro.com.br

    www.pousadadoalbatroz.com.br

    www.portaldomar.com.br

    www.pousadadoportopero.com.br

www.hoteis-othon.com.br (look for Pousada Sitio do Portinho when you visit this website)

  8. i can't...

  9. I can rent you a whole waterfront house there for "peanuts" a day. Sleeps 10 easy. Easy access to Perô-beach, this one calm even in high-season, and much better than those of Cabo Frio's more celebrated, like Praia do Forte, f. ex.

I also have "The Chalets of Aybloc's Lair" in Cunha, SP, in the mountains behind Paraty, RJ
