Can someone tell me about Campeche Mexico?

I've stopped there three or four times.  It's a nice city on the Gulf of Mexico.  It doesn't get too much tourist traffic.  Most of the tourist traffic it sees are people like me driving from the Uxmal ruins to Palenque.  It still has sections of the walls and ramparts that were built hundreds of years ago to keep the pirates out.  In the rainy season, it gets a lot of rain--you can tell by how high the curbs are.

Because it's off the tourist radar, rooms and dining won't break your wallet.  Take a trip and check it out.
