Can someone tell me about Kanem-Bornu civilization?

It's a civilization from Southern Libya and Chad, from about 700 AD. it was founded by the Zaghawa people moving away from the dessication of the Sahara towards the North East. They settled near lake Chad, and the civilization adopted Islam pretty quickly, lasting until about the 14th century.

They were invaded by the Bulala, and they were forced out of the area, finally settling in Niger to form the Bornu civilisation, that peaked in the 1600's, but declined by the 18th century.
