You sign up for them online and pick a place and time to take them number one. Secondly there is a essay part in the beginning which is childish I thought but easy to get into then a theres math, reading, and experimental. I believe the cost for me was 45.00$ but it varies I believe. To be honest just don't worry too much about them, buy the sat study book from Barnes and noble and just read through it and try to find things you have a hard time and practice but don't go crazy because thats what I did and I did terrible!!
