  1. Splash out on a decent meal at Ahern's. http://www.ahernes.net/ahernes.html

  2. Wow...great area.   My wife and I spent a day and a half in Cork.    I don't know if your driving or walking so I guess I will assume you have a car.

I prefer ancient ruins and such.  So:

Drombeg Stone Circle - If you enjoy pagan religions and very ancient things.  I suggest going here.  I found it very captivating.

Timoleague Friary - If you like old architecture this old friary is wonderful to walk around in.  You can kill at least an hour here more if you read stones or take rubbings.

Blarney Castle (if early kiss the stone if late forget the stone) I was less enthused about the stone and more interested in the battlements and the surrounding area.  Its visually impressive to see Blarney Castle but keep in mind there is nothing inside.  Just the line to the top.  If brave you can explore some of the dungeon area (bring strong flashlight).  However nearby to blarney (2min walk) you will find yourself surrounded by old Druid structures. Again...pagans or the pagan interested will love this.

Never been to Barrett's castle but I saw it from the road.  It was unimpressive so we didn't stop.  And I have never been to Puxley manor.   I don't really know anything about it we just never had time.

    Hope this helps.

  3. Eat, drink and be merry.  Go for a walk.  Check out the Lighthouse and the Clock Gate.  Take it easy.
