  1. H egambled and stayed out during caution with like 5 other guys.. which ended up good cause well it rained so ya hes a lucky dog....

  2. he didn't pit when others did..

didn't tony crash and took out a bunch of others..

    go to nascar.com

  3. #2 crew decided to gamble and stay out, same as #55 (2nd place). They all knew lotsa rain was minutes away. Kurt's car had lost rear brakes already, pieces were falling off the car. Kurt said they figured win or end up way back.

  4. so kurt was one of the people who pitted on like lap 213 or something like that... so he had just enough fuel to make it tony junior and jimmie and all of them pitted on lap like 205... they got a caution which unfortunately was junior being wrecked tony and all of them had to pit but tony also took two tires while most people took fuel only... that is why kurt won and tony wound up 13th... and dont get me wrong i think kurt was smart for using strategy to win but he won due to weather not fuel strategy

  5. OMG!!! Fluffy, now that cracked me up!!!! ROFL!!!

  6. as Kyle Petty would say "strategery"

  7. He stayed out and played his cards right and the rain came. I bet Kyle is wishing he had done the same thing, because he pitted at the same time Kurt did, but pitted again during the last caution with the rest of the field. He was ahead of Kurt before the pit stops, though. So Kurt basically inherited the lead under caution, and luckily for him, the rains came at the perfect time. That is what I could catch in between commercial breaks, anyway.

  8. strategery and luck. and by being good enough to be in the right place at the right time - he is a former champ, donchaknow...

kurt, kyle, casey, and just about everyone from 16th on back were playing out a fuel strategy race.  they pitted to hopefully give themselves enough fuel to make it, while the leaders didn't and were definitely going to have to come in.  then a caution came, and all the leaders who needed to pit for gas came in and got some.  tony took two tires and got shuffled back more than most, and for some reason kyle came too, even though he had enough gas.

and then another caution, and a bump and spin or two, and the rains came, and those who were playing the fuel mileage strategy won by the "being out there when the rain starts falling" strategy.  so once again, strategery and luck win, even if it was a different "strategery" than originally planned...
