Can someone tell me how am I racist?

okay so my manager doesnt think im racist necessarily but he says that i hate my own people. now to clear things up, i look white but am mexican. now me i dont like Mexico as a country and prefer the US anyday. but he says that by not liking mexico that im being racist against my own people or something.

but this is, a country and the people in it are two different things. i mean just cause youre born somewhere that doesnt mean you will act or behave in a certain way right? granted you may be more likely but that doesnt mean you will.

so how am i racist? i get along with other mexicans and i like some of the music but just dont care for going back to mexico and i wouldnt hold the mexican flag any time soon. so how am i racist? i mean if your biological parents abandon you then does that mean you have to love them when the people who adopted you gave you more?

  1. You are certainly not a racist.

Mexicans are a nation and not a race.  Many Mexicans belong to the indigenous race, but some, like you are white (others are black)

I am white, but I live in Mexico, and I prefer it to the USA.  I don't have anything against people of any color, race or nation.. its personal taste.

    PD: pinche pocho! :-P  hahahaha

  2. Your manager doesn't know what s/he is talking about. You obviously grew up in the US, so it's only natural that you feel more comfortable with American things. You're not a racist. Don't let nationalists mess with your mind when it comes to supposedly proving an allegiance to whatever country.

  3. You are not a racist, your boss is an idiot. I don't like the place I was raised, but I love the place I was born. You have the right to your own opinion

  4. KEEP UR OPINIONS TO UR SELF @ WORK. CO WORKERS R EVIL THEIR,ALWAYS LOOKING 4 DIRT..

  5. Your manager is an idiot who doesn't know the definition of the word racist. How can disliking a country be considered as racism? Since when did a country become a race?

  6. IDK if thats being racist....!!

I dont live in the country I was born either... and I wouldnt want to!

my dad always says I should be proud of my country... I mean... Im not ashamed or anything... I tell people where I was born... but I couldnt live there... for a short vacation trip, yeah... but thats it!!

I dont think your racist... you just like the US better than Mexico which is totally understandable!!

  7. That doesnt sound racist. People are just itching to scream racist at anyone and anything nowdays. Sometimes they have to make things up to do it. Frankly Im sick of having to walk on egg shells around people because of being labeled a racist or politically incorrect.   ..... F that.

  8. We all have to be more inteligent about nationalitys and cultures and beliefs, and skin color, becuase that does not matter nomore. In the next 100 years we might all be one color, we all will know if religions are worth while, we all are humans born in different areas, and divided by land and time. Technologies are making it bettter for everyone on the earth to be conncected and be closer then ever. Theres always going to be a government who are richer then normalpeoiple ebcuase they help maintain order in the world or countrys. With out order we all; wouldnt be here. There is no such thing as my people. We are all mixed and mixing. We are all humans.

  9. You don't sound racist, but are you a citizen?

If not then join our country like all of our families did and help make our country better.

    America is still for Americans

  10. If you look white why are  you always getting flack about being a traitor to Mexicans?

  11. I can't neither can anyone else base on your question, it is because you are not racist at all. I don't think I can even rationalized what your manager was thinking.

(by the way there are white/black/and brown mexicans, its an ethnicity not a race)

Whatever issues he has don't give it too much thought, and just keep on working and try to ignore politcs at work.

  12. You're not racist.  Your manager is just too lazy to think of a better term.
