Can someone tell me how long should my pickeling cucumbers be before i pick them?

  1. Pickle jar size, of course. Any size will do but bigger cukes take longer to be pickled. Let me know your recipes, please--I always need new ones.

You can pick them from about 1 1/2 inches if you prefer, for have you seen the "baby gherkins" that are the little sweet or dill pickles?..But around 4 to 5 inches is nominal..If canning them in pints 4 inches would be the max..if canning them in quarts 5 inches max..do not let them start turning white and yellow, for they are then seeding out...

  3. Pickling cucumbers are picked when they're "pickling" size.  which is usually 3-4 inches.
