I just tried it and it is really cool.  It works because the computer can run through lots of calulations extremely quickly.  The formula gets some help by some big clues, so to speak, for example, I wrote a four digit number and by jumbling and subtracting and eliminating the number I chose, it can run a formula to determine which number (1-9) I wrote on the paper.

It makes me happy to know that there are engineers and mathametitians that love this stuff enough to work on the equations to get the answer.  It all boils down to Algebra, solving for "X".

now that one i have to be smart in math to do. i am not that. it was fun and i am going to try it again. i tried again and still i can't do it. it came up wrong.
