Can someone tell me how to crossbreed plants?

I want to know how I should collect the pollen and how to make sure that it fertilizes the recieving flower. And if you know, how i can prevent a flower from fertilizing itself.

You use a Q-Tip  the cotten swab stick you clean your ears with.

touch the tip to the stamen of a flower of one plant

next touch the Q-Tip to the pistol of the other plant.

Yippiiee you just cross pollinated plants.
