Can someone tell me how to fix the volume problem on a Rca 52 inch rear projection t.v?

I just got a used rear projection t,v and theres no volume the person said i need to get a surround sound speaker set but I would really want to watch t,v tonight with volume as I just got the t,v

i don't know of one Rear Projection TV that doesn't have speakers built into it so the statement that you have to buy speakers is false unless the built in speakers are broken.

On most new tv's there is an option in the options menu that let you turn off the built in speakers for people who have your there own sound system. This is what i would be looking for. Not sure where it would be on your tv but look under settings then audio options.
